FAQs
At Perfect Pod, customer satisfaction with our products is our number one priority. We have prepared this list based on the questions we hear most frequently. We will add new FAQs as warranted. If your question is not covered, please feel free to contact our Customer Service team.
Try placing the hinge of the Café Fill Deluxe either on the right side or the left side (3:00 or 9:00 position). The brewer lid should then close with just a little more force than would be needed for a standard K-Cup.
Please make sure to place the ECO-Carafe by Perfect Pod or EZ-Carafe correctly in the holder. The hinge of the pod should be at the bottom (6:00 position). Press down on the capsule until it is flat in the holder. The brewer lid should then close with just a little more force than would be necessary for a standard K-Cup.
No, all of our products are designed to be used with the original K-Cup holder in place. You do not need to remove anything from your brewer to use our products. The only exception is for the ECO-Fill MAX by Perfect Pod, which is actually a replacement K- Cup holder that adds functionality to your brewer.
Use about 2 tablespoons of ground coffee. Please do not overfill nor compress the grounds.
Use about 3 ½ - 4 tbsp of medium grind coffee grounds. Remember to not over fill nor compress the grounds.
We recommend a medium grind. Too coarse of a grid will yield a weak cup of coffee and too fine of a grind can cause the filters to clog. Please see the information on coffee grind here.
When you're using a capsule with a permanent filter, some sediment in your cup is normal. If you find actual grounds, it usually means the lid of the capsule was not closed properly or excess grounds were left on the rim or top of the capsule when it was placed in the brewer.
If you are using a disposable paper filter, you should never get sediments or grounds in your cup of coffee. In rare occasions, a paper filter can burst with the result being a lot of grounds in the cup. Usually, if a paper filter bursts, the cause is typically because too much ground coffee was used.
When using the K2V-Cup, you MUST make sure the K-Cup is pressed flat into the K2V-Cup so the bottom is pierced and the top surface of the K-Cup is flush with the top surface of the K2V-Cup.
Do not open the lid of the VUE machine after it is closed and has already punctured a hole in the cup.
If the K-Cup is not pressed flat into the K2V-Cup the piecing needle will tear the foil, causing a long slit in the foil instead of a single hole (Making the hole bigger). The slit cannot be sealed by the grommet around the piercing needle, so when the water is forced into the cup, much of it will flow back through the front bringing loose grounds with it. This can result in a big mess of grounds and a weaker cup of coffee.
Yes, you can use EZ-Cup paper filters with your Café Fill or Café Fill Deluxe capsule for better filtration and easier cleanup. Be sure to rip off the lid portion of the EZ-Cup paper filter when using with a Café Fill or a Café Fill Deluxe.
Yes, you can use an EZ-Carafe paper filter with the ECO-Carafe by Perfect Pod for better filtration and easier cleanup. Please make sure to rip off the lid portion of the EZ-Carafe paper filter before using with an ECO-Carafe by Perfect Pod.
Sometimes coffee will splash up over the sensor causing an error message, so make sure to clean the sensor with a cotton swab or with a cleaning cloth so the Keurig 2.0 reader can read our product lids effectively. The brewer's sensor is located underneath the Keurig lid. Locate the top-center needle; looking slightly toward the left, you will see a rectangular window with some LEDs underneath it. This is the sensor window.
